Founder and President
Charles Puchta, a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), is an award-winning and nationally acclaimed authority, consultant and speaker on the subject of aging and caregiving. Puchta became interested in aging and caregiving as a result of his personal experience. By the mid 1990's, both of his parents were diagnosed with a chronic illness (leukemia, dementia and rheumatoid arthritis) and their lives were becoming increasingly challenging. Frustrated by a lack of direction, support and helpful information, he left a successful career in corporate America in 2001 and founded Aging America Resources (www.CareMinistry.com). |
|
Puchta has devoted his life to serving the Lord and sharing much needed information and insight for the benefit of family and pastoral caregivers. His distinctive gift is his ability to take complex subject matter, distill it and communicate it in a way that makes sense to the audience.
His first book was published in May 2002 and received national recognition within months. Puchta has been on various radio and TV shows, and in newspapers and trade publications including The Wall Street Journal, Aging Today, Journal of Geronotological Nursing, At Home Live (FamilyNet), Prime Time America (Moody Broadcasting), American Family Radio, Chicago Caregiver Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Woman's Digest and more.
Since 2005, Puchta also serves as the Director of the Center for Aging with Dignity (www.SAFEafter60.org) at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing. In addition to pursuing a Master's in Health Education at the University of Cincinnati he has an MBA from Xavier University and an undergraduate degree in Communications from Bradley University.
